Our Story

Hayler Wason Ltd was founded by the former employees of a previous company. Two of the engineers who were employed by that company – decided to form their own gate automation business when their employer retired.

They were confident they could succeed, having over 30 years’ experience between them in the gate automation industry and a determination to offer a premium service on all levels.

Hayler Wason Ltd was incorporated on 1st September 2020, in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic lockdown. The pandemic restrictions meant that Ray had to hold off from trading until two months later.

Once the team got off of the starting blocks – having been joined by Ray’s nephew, Dwain – we haven’t looked back. Business boomed right from the start, with word spreading quickly about our high standards of customer service and workmanship.

We occupy a unit, with office space, in a trading estate in Frome, Somerset, and we serve clients from near and far.

Who We Are

We’re a small but mighty team who all live locally in Somerset and are committed to providing the best specialist automated gate and access control service in the West Country.

I have worked within the automated gate sector for more than 16 years. When the company who previously employed myself and Lee closed it was an ideal opportunity to start Hayler Wason Ltd, and we’ve not looked back. I enjoy working for myself and really like the fact that we are involved with new installations from the initial site visit, providing the quotation, carrying out the install and then the follow-up planned maintenance visits. It’s satisfying to see a job well done.

We’re proud to say that Hayler Wason Ltd. has Safecontractor accreditation and we are affiliate members of the Door and Hardware Federation. Our engineers hold CSCS Skilled Worker cards to prove their competence and qualifications.
